Wow this image is powerful. Just something about it reminds me of the Tsunami disaster. How the sun rose to unveil the full destruction. I get the feeling from this as well, I guess because I read the title first. Great picture nonetheless.

@Bhavin: yikes! well, it certainly wasn't my intention to invoke the tsunamis! we've had rain and snow melting for 5 days here, and the local river and creeks are all overflowing. in the northwest part of the state, there has been severe flooding, with a number of lives lost; here, it's not so bad. this was a flooded cornfield i drove by on the way home from work last night...
Really nice composition, Paulski, and I really like the colors. The sky has an "after the storm" look. But you didn't mention which flood.

Lovely landscape, but sorry to hear of the flood. Terrible waste of water, since we're so short of it in Atlanta. Hopefully things will get back to normal this year, but predictions aren't promising. Glad you made it through it okay, thanks for sharing.
