colin, day one

inspired by melissa posting the first image she took when she got her camera a year ago, here is the first image taken with my d80, coming up on 2 years ago this december.

i had just finished charging my battery, slapped on my 50 f/1.8 (my favorite lens, until i got my 105mm f/2.8 VR), and shot colin sitting in his child seat as he arrived home from daycare. of course, i shot this wide-open.

not the greatest of images, but i love how happy he looks...
