This is a fantastic show. I saw in the middle of thousands of pics in the community page. Congratulations. If you could tell how did you make it, I'd appreciate it. I mean what camera you used, lenses, exposition, etc

@Piervincenzo: Thanks, all, for the great commets.
Piervincenzo: The shot details are to the right of the shot though they are a bit deceiving. Camera was a Nikon D80, the lens a 105mm 2.8 VR (my early Christmas present to myself!), and it was shot wide open. The lanterns are outside my front door. I shoot in RAW, which allows me to play around afterwards with white balanace and exposure and such...
I like those lanterns but don't see much of that white stuff around here. Yesterday afternoon it was 77 degrees. Nice camera. How do you like the VR lens? Is it worth the money?

@Twelvebit: twelvebit: I think you end up with more keepers with the vr. it really does work as advertised. considering that the price of the lens did not increase when they redesigned it, and it is improved optically and with the addition of the vr, yeah, i'd say it was worth it.
that sia,d, the older, discontinued model is now available used for a $300 savingsm and if your core interest is macro work (where vr will not help you), then that is a viable option, as well.
